The Female Teacher's Choir "Victoria" is a unique Moscow city phenomenon. Founded in 2001 by an experienced conductor, musician, and talented organizer, Tatyana Kuznetsova, the group has immediately earned love and support of Moscow educational community and has become a living illustration of the creativity which is in the basis of Teaching. The group has successfully stood up the test of time. Thanks to the energy and enthusiasm of its founder and director Tatiana Kuznetsova, and the passion and dedicaton of the group members to choral art "Victoria" constantly improves its performance quality and gains recognition locally and world wide.

Members of the Victoria Choir are all school teachers in the South-West district of Moscow. The choir members include professional musicians, music teachers, as well as educators in other fields. We are all united by the love for music and desire to share the beauty of choral singing to our audience, develop and promote the traditions of Russian choral school in our country and around the world.

Weekly rehearsals is not only an opportunity to improve our vocal skills and enjoy choral music, but also a way to enjoy each others company. Having been singing for 10 years in the choir – we have become a family! And we have got a tradition to celebrate all the important events in our lives - such as birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries – all together.

The Victoria Choir's repertoire includes many choral classics by composers of different époques and cultures such as the Orthodox and Catholic sacred music, Russian folk songs and songs by Soviet and foreign composers. There are also some songs that were created especially for "Victoria" by Russian contemporary composers.

The choir often participate in a variety of concerts, perfoming for Moscow public in various concert venues such as Russian Academy Music (named after Gnesin), The House of Composers, Moscow City Teacher's House, "Apple" Hall in the Art Gallery of Zurab Tsereteli, Concert Hall of the Russian Academy of Science, Veterans of Teaching Profession.

"Victoria" regularly takes part in different competitions and festivals in Russia and all over the world, winning several awards and medals:

2007 –Winner of the "Moscow-Soul of Russia" organized by the Teachers-Veterans organization, to commemorate the 860th Moscow Anniversary

2008 - Winner of the International Christmas Festival in Vienna

2009 - Winner of the 23rd International Competition in Prague "Golden Prague"

2010 - Winner of the International Competition "Moscow-City of Peace"

2010 - Member of the 23rd International Festival of Choral Art in St Petersburg "Singing World"

2010 - Member of the International Festival "Russian Mosaic" in the U.S. and "Maple Leaves" in Canada

2011 - Winner of the 2nd International Competition of Sacred Music "Crystal Chapel" in Moscow

2011- Bronze Medal Awardee at the IV International Sacred Music Choir Competition in Rome

"Victoria" is actively involved in charity programs.
